In 1989 Brenda and Kevin Davis took the bold step of starting county magazines for Suffolk and Norfolk. At the time nothing like them existed in either county. From a 48 page magazine with 16 full colour pages, Suffolk Norfolk Life has grown to 116 pages all in full colour. It is also one of, if not the first county magazine in the country online with page turning software. SNL has been a sponsor of the Suffolk Show for many years and now sponsors the Royal Norfolk Show too.

With an increased presence over the last few years, we have seen interest in the magazine from both readers and advertisers grow. At both shows we give away Goody bags which have proved very popular and we hope is something we will be able to continue to do for years to come.

On sale at newsagents and available by subscription, Suffolk Norfolk Life is also placed  in the bedrooms of most of the quality hotels in the two counties and is without doubt a very popular read.

From those early days, the number of staff has grown too. Gregory Davis, their son, joined the company in 1997 and now fulfils the role of Managing Director. Wendy Scotchmer heads up the admin and accounts and has been a valued member of staff since 1992. Keith Snowdon, Production Manager has clocked up 7 years with the company, typesetting and designing just two magazines a month in the beginning and now 14 regular magazines a month with his team.

We are an independent family company based in Suffolk with staff from both counties. Suffolk Norfolk Life is our flagship title and something we are all very proud of.

A key element is of course our editorial and we are lucky to have a team of experienced writers that provide interesting articles on current events, historical subjects, people and places and indeed anything that is relevant to the two counties.

And let’s not forget our advertisers, many of them have been with us since the early days and we are pleased to have their support. There would be no point to any of it without our loyal readers – more are discovering Suffolk Norfolk Life every day – and our family is growing.
