International polo players will head to Suffolk next summer to play in two special matches at Trinity Park in Ipswich. Organised by Suffolk Agricultural Association and ratified by Hurlingham Polo Association – the UK governing body for polo – two special matches will take place on Saturday June 30th at an event called International Polo in Suffolk.
Teams from Norfolk and Suffolk will go head-to-head in a local derby, followed by an international match featuring teams representing England and Australia. Trinity Park, which covers 300 acres on the edge of Ipswich, hosts outdoor events throughout the year, including the Suffolk Show, camping and caravanning events and horse shows, but this is the first time that the venue will host polo matches.
Tickets for the event will cost £20 per car and will be on sale from the end of January.
